Wendy is an accomplished graphic artist, with her own company and a studio in Port Costa, California, at the north end of San Francisco Bay. She creates web pages and corporate identity campaigns for clients all around Northern California, and, as geography is not a limiting factor where computer work is concerned, in farther flung areas of the country.

Given her upbringing in Michigan, Wendy doesn’t think it ever really gets cold in California. To the amazement of natives, she isn’t fazed by the prevailing wind on the Carquinez Straits, and even takes in night games when the Tigers are in town to play the A’s with few complaints and fewer warm clothes.

Her clients—and her friends—know Wendy as a person of limitless energy, who has the rare ability to juggle countless demands on her time yet still be absolutely, completely present with whomever she is visiting or working with at any given moment.

Wendy was amazed, on her first visit to California, by the groves of Redwood trees along the coast. She discovered them at Purisima Creek in San Mateo County. The feeling of peace, physical as well as spiritual, stole over her like the coastal fog. She knew then that this is where she belonged.

She still enjoys trips to the Redwoods. And border collies. And Marx Brothers movies. And eggnog lattes.
